Barbara A. Henry

Barbara A. Henry, age 80, Logansport, passed away at 12:10 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born in Peru on September 30, 1931, Barb was the daughter of Burl and Adah Young Ritchey. Her mother later married Paul Umbarger.

She was married to Frank J. Henry, who preceded in death November 13, 2000.

For 45 years Barb was a dental assistant at the Logansport State Hospital. Barb’s memberships throughout her life include All Saints Catholic Church and All Saints Ladies Society, Daughters of Isabella, American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, Dykeman Park Ladies Golf Association and the Cass County Mental Health Association.

Barb loved to read, enjoyed the computer, and loved golfing, bowling, her friends and also, above all, her family.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Patrick J. (Sue) Henry, Hastings, Neb., and Jeffrey P. (Leisa) Henry, Logansport; grandchildren, Amy Henry, Julie Henry, Kayla Henry, Misty Henry, Zach McGuire, and Angie Beverly; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Frank J., Jr, a daughter, Paula Henry and brother, Paul Umbarger.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2012, at All Saints Catholic Church. Father Mike McKinney will officiate.

Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2012, at Kroeger Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Emmaus Mission Center, PO Box 647, or the Cass County Mental Health Association, 421 12th Street, both of Logansport, IN 46947.
