Rebecca A. “Becky” Carr, age 60, formerly of Logansport, passed away at 3:29 a.m. on Monday, August 20, 2012, at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.

Born January 17, 1952, in Amsterdam, New York, she was the daughter of Howard and Grace Ellis Veeder.

On December 28, 1995, in Las Vegas, she was married to Larry Carr, who preceded her in death on November 18, 2008.

Becky was a retired club manager at the VFW Post 3790. A member of the VFW Post 3790 Auxiliary, she enjoyed auto racing, gambling at the boats and trips to Las Vegas. She missed her dog, Dallas, who preceded her in death. Most especially, she enjoyed her grandchildren.

Surviving are a son, Lance Barton (Amy), Logansport, step-son, Brent Carr (Jenny); step-daughters, Donna Dawson (Tom), Flora, Diana Perez (Mannie), Logansport, Deborah Corcoran, Martinsville, and Jennifer Long (Jamie); brothers, John Veeder (Barb), Rome, NY, George Veeder (Betty), Cazenovia, NY, Bruce Veeder (Yvonne), Brian Veeder, and a sister, Ruth Yates (Les), all of Gloversville, NY.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Seth Barton, Tyler Barton, Alexis Shepherd, Brandon Shepherd, Aaron Gibbs, Shelby Dawson, Tommy Corcoran, Sheldon Corcoran, Caitlyn Corcoran, Sydney Reed, Raymond Long, Emilie Sweet, Haleigh Sweet and Caleb Sweet; a great granddaughter, and nieces and nephews.

A brother, Jerry Veeder and sister, Harriet Stack, preceded her in death.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2012, at Kroeger Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, at Kroeger Funeral Home. There will be a VFW Auxiliary Service at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
