Earl M. Gust

Earl M. Gust, age 80, Logansport, passed away peacefully at 10:00 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018, in his residence surrounded by his family.

Born August 15, 1937, he was the son of Robert and Vera Wilburn Gust.

On June 7, 1957, in Logansport, he was married to Jeanette Miles, who preceded him in death on December 29, 2011.

A 1955 graduate of Logansport High School, Earl was CEO and managed Peru Tool and Engineering. He retired as a tool and die maker from Quality Die Set, in Flora. He enjoyed woodworking and was especially fond of each new grandchild.

Surviving are his children, Vera Sue (Sam) Bowman and Jerry (Debbie) Gust, all of Logansport; sister, Shirley Mathews, Phoenix; grandchildren, Amanda Shelton, Brittany (Jake) Telfer, and Natasha Frank, all of Logansport; great grandchildren, Karli Shelton, Braysen Highley. Kaylie Williams and Luke Telfer, all of Logansport; many nieces and nephews.

Two brothers, Robert Gust and Richard Gust preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at Kroeger Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow visitation at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mike Montgomery will officiate.

Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
