Olin L. Cody, 86, Logansport, passed away at 8:11 p.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, in Memorial Hospital.
Born in Lee County, Virginia on October 28, 1931, he was the son of Jesse and Velma Ramsey Cody.
On May 20, 1951, in Mitchell, he was married to Marcena L. Mayo, who preceded him in death on March 27, 1994. He later married Princess Cunningham in Noblesville on November 11, 2007. She survives in Logansport.
Retired from the United States Air Force, Olin was also retired from Pro-Ag-Co, formerly Cass County Co-op.
He was a member of Yorktown Road Church of Christ, United States Air Force Sergeants Association, and had enjoyed working security during the month of May at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for many years. Olin also enjoyed assisting at the Shults-Lewis Children’s Home in Valparaiso.
Also surviving are sons, Alvin E. (Jacqueline) Cody, Logansport, and David D. (Peggy) Cody, Galveston, Texas; grandchildren, David D. Cody Jr., Adam R. O. Cody, and Cassandra L. Cody; great grandson, Leeland A. R. Cody; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were three brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Yorktown Road Church of Christ, with the service following at 11:00 a.m. Mark Racop will officiate.
Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, with the Cass County Honor Guard and uniformed members of the U.S. Air Force providing military honors.
