Licensed Funeral Director
Paul Patrick Kroeger is a Funeral Director and manager of the funeral home. (He is the fourth generation of the Kroeger family to be engaged in funeral service.)
Paul is a 1972 graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He also attended Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago.
Paul is a member of numerous civic and fraternal organizations. He was a charter member of the Cass County Community Foundation and currently serves as Board President. He also serves on the Board of the Performing Arts Council of Logansport.
Since 1986, Paul has co-hosted with Judy McNarny the weekly radio interview program, "The Chamber Today", highlighting activities of the Logansport/Cass County Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the Indiana Society of Chicago.
Paul is an active member of All Saints Catholic Church. He has served on the Parish Council and All Saints School Board.
After three-years of employment at Amtrak following college, he returned to Logansport and the family business.
Licensed Funeral Director
Jim Crain is a licensed embalmer and funeral director. He is a graduate of Mid-America College of Mortuary Science and has been with us since 1981.
Jim is active in a number of community organizations, including the Kiwanis Club. Jim has four children, Samuel, Oliver, Isabelle and Harrison. They are members of All Saints Catholic Church
Jim is also a member of the Logan's Landing Board of Directors.
Administrative & Staff Assistant
Bill Bauman graduated from Logansport High School in 1996. He attended a friend's funeral at Kroeger Funeral Home in 2002, and decided he wanted to be involved in a profession where he could make a difference in peoples' lives every day, and has been with the firm since that time.
Bill is responsible for producing our family tribute videos, which includes various printing duties and graphic designs, and all forms of funeral service personalization.
Bill enjoys automobiles and keeping our professional vehicles beautifully maintained, as well as, spending time working on our lawn and garden care.
He is also our webmaster and loves technology
and computer challenges.
Bill recently married the former Kailin Sewell, who is the Director Impact for the United Way of Cass County.
In his spare time, Bill enjoys running and competing in Ultra Marathons and Trail races with his wife, Kailin. He is very involved with the local active living community that helps support, running, bicycling and general heath and fitness in Cass County.
Bill is also the founding member of the Confluence Running Club. He loves to introduce people into running, and seeing how it changes lives and positively affects the community he has called home all of his life.
Office Manager/Administrative Assistant
Kathy is secretary at the funeral home and coordinates all details relating to the clerical aspects of the business. (This doesn't begin to describe the numerous tasks she handles well.) She has been with us since February, 1993.
She and her husband, Jim, have two sons, Christoffer, Indianapolis; and Michael, and his wife, Danielle, and her children, Arsalie, Tristen, and Titus, of rural Decatur, Indiana.
Licensed Funeral Director
Gary Chambers is a licensed Funeral Director who assists us on a part-time basis. He was a full-time Funeral Director with Kroeger Funeral Home until 2002.
Gary is now a ladderman with the Logansport Fire Department. He is also a member of the Clymers Volunteer Fire Department and the Cass County Emergency Management Agency.
He is a member and Past Master of Tipton Masonic Lodge. Gary is married to Glenda and they have two children, Victoria and Benjamin. They are members of Clymers United Methodist Church.
Director of Pre-Planning
A second-generation member of the mortuary profession, Jane Sefton serves as Kroeger Funeral Home’s director of pre-planning and family services. Sefton’s late parents owned and operated the Sefton Funeral Home in Decatur, IN with her brother currently continuing the legacy.
Before joining the Kroeger Funeral Home team in 2017, Jane worked in administrative positions for various funeral homes and retirement communities in Indiana.
The Indiana University graduate has consistently merited performance and sales leadership honors with Great Western Insurance, the company that underwrites and protects all pre-planning arrangements with Kroeger Funeral Home. With her extensive funeral service background and experience, Jane knows firsthand the financial mistakes, misunderstandings and regrets that can arise when a family fails to plan ahead and must make decisions in a highly emotional, tight time frame. Certified in Indiana and five other states, Sefton works diligently with every pre-planning client to uphold the Kroeger mission to be a trusted neighbor and fulfill wishes.
Great Western Insurance, one of the top pre-need insurance companies in the nation, honored Sefton at its 2015 national convention in New York City and featured her as a keynote speaker at its 2016 conclave in Hawaii.
When her busy schedule allows, Sefton loves to travel, navigate her sailboat on Hoosier waters and visit with her five siblings whose residences span from the Midwest to West Coast.
A native of Grass Creek, Kathy is a retired Logansport elementary school teacher. While usually greeting people at the front door, Kathy also assists families and guests during visitations and funerals. Her late husband's father was a funeral director in Fulton, Indiana. She is the mother of Jill Ditmire and Jeff Ditmire, who recently passed away. He is missed.
Levi came to Kroeger Funeral Home in the summer of 2014 as an intern with the Century Career Center program at Logansport High School. Levi is the son of Brad and Shannon Holder and is currently enrolled in the mortuary program through Ivy Tech Community College to pursue his dream of becoming a licensed funeral director/embalmer.
Levi also enjoys running, weightlifting, and being active in his community. He is currently employed at Martin's Supermarket as well as Kroeger Funeral Home.
Susan is organist and soloist for our chapel services as well as church funerals, if requested.
Susan is an organist/cantor at All Saints Catholic Church and accompanist for the Logansport Children's Choir. Susan is married to Timothy Cahalan, the music director at All Saints, and they have two children, Laura and Sarah.
Travis worked for us part-time when he was a student at Logansport High School.
Several years ago Travis was hired by the Logansport Police Department, now serving the community well as a police officer, as his father did.
Travis will assist us part-time as his schedule permits.
Travis is the son of Phil and Peggy Nolte and is an active member of Valley Fellowship Church.
