Hanna Shae Ohrt

Hanna Shae Ohrt, age 13, Idaville, passed away at 4:04 p.m., on Sunday, October 25, 2015, in Riley Hospital, Indianapolis, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in White County on October 11, 2015.

She was born in Winamac on February 21, 2002, to Jeramy J. Ohrt and Julie Ann Myers.

Hanna was an 8th grader at Pioneer Jr./Sr. High School, and wanted to be a veterinarian.  She loved all animals, especially her dogs, Chopper, Dozer, Auggie, Storm, and Cali, as well as her cat, Jynxy.

Hanna was known most for her love.  She was always happy and enjoyed making everyone around her happy.  She became famous for her ‘Hanna Hugs”, which will be greatly missed.  She had a way of capturing the heart of every person she met.  She didn’t have friends, because to her, everyone was family. 

Hanna’s interests included taking selfies, hanging with her besties, and getting muddy.  She adored her big brothers, Jesse and Dustin.  Hanna also loved shooting her .22 rifle, and her music.

Hanna was the light in the eyes of everyone she ever met and the world got a little darker when the Lord took her home.

Surviving are her father, Jeramy Ohrt, Idaville, mother, Juile Ann Myers, Monticello; brothers, Jesse Ohrt, Idaville and Dustin Kochel, Royal Center; paternal grandparents, Regina and Jim Harris, and Gene Ohrt, all of Royal Center; maternal grandparents, Phyllis Babb, Sarasota, Fla., and Gregory and Janice Myers, Huntington; maternal great grandmother, Freida Grabbe, Walton; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and extended family members, Shawn Lee (Kylie) Delaney, Colliers, WV, Kayla Rae Steineman and Jacob Jude Steineman, Logansport.

Hanna was preceded in death by a sister, Emily Mae Ohrt on February 22, 2001, and by Deb A. Barkas, her father's companion, who passed away on October 11, 2015, from injuries suffered in the same accident.

The visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., on Friday, October 30, 2015, at Kroeger Funeral Home, Logansport.

The service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, October 31, 2015, also at the funeral home, with Pastor Greg Britt officiating.

Interment will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
