James Cheney Welsh

James Cheney Welsh, age 61, formerly of Logansport, passed away in his residence in Indianapolis, from an apparent heart attack..

Born on August 28, 1954, he was the son of Clark and Helen (Nelson) Welsh, Jr.

A 1972 graduate of Logansport High School, he was also a graduate of Indiana University (BA) of Political Science; Florida State University, Juris Doctor (J.D.) and Emory University College of Law-Masters of Law (LL.M.) in Taxation.

Jim had been employed for the State of Indiana government managing their central support computer system until his recent retirement.

He is survived by a brother, Tac (Diane) Welsh, Logansport; and cousins, Nelson (Dixie) Becker, Logansport, and Mary Anna (Dick) Swennumson and Judy Becker, all of Culver.

A cousin, Allen Becker, preceded him in death.

Services and interment in Mount Hope Cemetery will be private.
