Jane Marie Neher

Jane Marie Neher, age 72, Logansport, passed away at 1:27 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2017, in St. Vincent’s Hospital. Kokomo.

Born December 1, 1944, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Jerry and Alice Gano Waters.

On December 7, 1962, she was married to Ronald Neher, who survives.

Jane had been employed in the Family Services Department for the State of Indiana. She enjoyed gardening and her family. Jane also attended Shiloh Church.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her children, Debra (John) Spencer, Logansport, Daniel (Stephanie) Neher, Walton, and Dawn (John) Bartels, East Lynne, Missouri; brothers, Carl (Janet) Waters, Walton, Ed (Patty) Waters, Logansport; sister, Patricia Cargile, Brownsburg; daughter-in-law, Traci McBride; 17 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Jane and her husband also cared for 73 foster children.

Preceding in death were a son, John Nikitaras and a brother, Dennis Waters.

The funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m., on Friday, June 23, 2017, with Pastor Tim McKaig officiating, at Kroeger Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., also on Friday at the funeral home.
