Josephine "Jo" Partridge

Josephine “Jo” Partridge, age 97, Logansport, passed away peacefully at 1:45 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2017, in her residence at McKinney Place.

Born Wednesday, May 26, 1920, in Benton, Ky., she was the daughter of John Clifford and Daisy Smith Jones.

On August 27, 1940, in Warsaw, Ind., she was married to Everett Partridge, who preceded her in death on September 27, 2002.

In 1946 Jo and Everett established Partridge Floor Coverings in downtown Logansport. In earlier years she had been an active member of Kappa Kappa Kappa sorority and the Logansport Art Association.

She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church.

Jo was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her kind, gracious and caring way was well-known by all who knew her, especially her precious cat, Teddy, who never left her side.

Surviving are three sons, Anthony (Barbara) Partridge, Thomas (Teri) Partridge, all of Logansport; Patrick (Sandra) Partridge, Westchester, Ill.; sister, Lita Hendrick, Logansport; grandchildren, Ryan Partridge and Jessika (Bryan) Hane; great grandchildren, Grace Ruth Hane and Eleanor Josephine Hane.

Also surviving are nieces, Mary Kathleen Ditmire and Angela (Walt) Moss; great niece, Jill Ditmire; several other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, all of whom were very important to her.

A sister, Robbie Van Meter, and great nephew, Jeffrey Ditmire, preceded in death.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2017, at Kroeger Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m., also at the funeral home, with Rev. Larry Phillips of Guardian Angel Hospice officiating.

Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
