Margaret M. Neal Shedlock, age 89, Logansport, passed away at 1:15 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016, in Pulaski Health Care Center, Winamac.

Born January 3, 1927, she was the daughter of John and Laura Gladys Lewis Gross.

She was married to James H. Neal on April 17, 1948. He preceded her in death on February 17, 1978. Margaret was then married to Stephen J. Shedlock on January 3, 1980. He preceded her in death on May 11, 2008.

Margaret was a bookkeeper at RBM Manufacturing for 20 years. She was then employed at the Logansport State Hospital from 1971 until 1989.

She had been very active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, where she was Past President four times, District President two times and District Secretary.

She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.

Surviving are sons, Mark (Sheila) Neal, Macy, James H. Neal, Jr., Bristol; daughters, Peggy (Robert) Morter, Mishawaka, Rita (Dave) Clayton, Macy and Judith (Lee) Loy, Bruce Lake; a sister, Frances Lehmann, Logansport.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Robert (Mary) Morter, Nikki (Terry) Lake, Becky Pencek, Rick (Tracy) Gotshall, Matt (Jessica) Clayton, Jenny Clayton, Desiree Schmitt, Dawn Neal, Michael (Amy) Young, Karissa (Michael) Gleason, Jim Neal and Alyssa Neal; twenty eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandson; several nieces and nephews.

Two sisters, Mary Hoover, Edith Hopper, and a daughter-in-law, Pamela Neal,  preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a. m., Thursday, May 26, 2016, in the Parish Hall at All Saints Catholic Church, where a VFW Auxiliary Service will be conducted at 9:00 a.m.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at All Saints Catholic Church, with Fr. Michael McKinney officiating.

Entombment will be in the Mausoleum at Ever-Rest Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Catholic Church, 112 East Market Street, or the VFW Post 3790 Auxiliary, 1023 Erie Avenue, both of Logansport 46947.
