Michael B. Jones, Sr., 69, Logansport, passed away at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 25, 2016, in Memorial Hospital.

Born November 8, 1946, in Logansport, he was the son of Paul Bernard and Mary Alice McGovern Jones.

A Logansport High School graduate, Mike was a Heavy Equipment Operator and a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 103, Indianapolis.

He served his country in the United States Navy and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 3790.

Mike enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, gardening and playing the harmonica.

He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Ashley (Nathan) Moore, Houston, TX; sons, Michael Jones, Jr., Lafayette, Derrick Jones, Houston, TX and Dustin Jones, Sahuarita, AZ; sister, Mary Ellen Roller, Logansport; grandchildren, Adrianna Moore, Cailyn Moore, Owen Moore and Evelyn Jones.

Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Michele (Brian) Starkey and Kathy Coryea; great nieces and great nephews, Alex Starkey, Eli Starkey, Abagail Coryea and Olivia Coryea. Also Brandon Goodman, who Mike regarded as a son.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27th at Kroeger Funeral Home, with recitation of the rosary at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, also at the funeral home.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 28th, at All Saints Catholic Church, with Fr. Clayton Thompson officiating.

Interment, with full military honors, will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, in the Mount Calvary section of Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to any military organization.
