Nathaniel Xavier 'Nate' Gibbs, age 19, Logansport, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017, due to injuries sustained in a train/vehicle accident.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 25, 2017, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Kroeger Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

The service will be on Friday, May 26, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at Vineyard Community Church, with Pastor Bruce Vernon officiating.

Interment will follow in Ever-Rest Memorial Park. 

The family would appreciate contributions to assist with expenses. The "Appeal for Donations" tab to the left of this obituary is provided.

Nathaniel Xavier ‘Nate’ Gibbs, age 19, Logansport, passed away, along with his mother, Stefanie A. Carter, on Friday, May 19, 2017, of injuries sustained in a train/vehicle accident.

Born in Logansport on October 14, 1997, he was the son of Joseph Gibbs and Stefanie Carter.

Nate graduated from Logansport High School in 2016.

He was a fun-loving young man who loved his family and friends.  He was quick to tell a joke, as he loved to laugh and smile with those around him.  He also had a love for music and dancing.

Surviving are father, Joseph (Sara) Gibbs; brothers, Bradley Graves (fiancé Hannah Jackson), Damien Gibbs, Gavin Gibbs and Zach Gibbs, Joseph James Langdon; sister, Jalyn Parkevich; grandparents, Teresa Gibbs, Debra Rennewanz, and Kevin Carter, Sr.; uncles, Jason Gibbs, Jason Carter, Steve (Anna) Carter, all of Logansport, and Kevin Carter, Jr., Indianapolis; and aunts, Paige (Josh) Hettinger, Megan Skelton.

Also surviving are cousins, Landry Carter, Jessilyn Carter, Adrian Carter, Paris Carter, Nathan Parkevich, Ashton Skaggs-Gibbs, Aliyah Gibbs, Zach Ewing.

Preceding Nate in death were his great grandparents, Leonard and Delores Rennewanz.

Nate was a wonderful young man! Always had a smile. Seeing him daily in class and our many conversations I know how much Nate loved his family and friends. I will miss him. Prayers for his family.
