Rose Eileen (Baumann) Berkshire

R. Eileen Berkshire, age 87, Logansport, passed away at 7:46 p.m. on Monday, August 8, 2016, in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, after a brief illness.

Born March 9, 1929, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Louis and Mary Spitznogle Baumann.

A graduate of Washington Township High School, Eileen had been employed at Logansport Machine Company, Southeastern School Corporation as an aide, and as a clerk at CVS.

Eileen was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Surviving are her sons, Thomas Berkshire and Timothy (Pamela) Berkshire; daughter-in-law, Ruth Berkshire; sister, Agnes McCool; brother-in-law, Clyde Berkshire; two grandchildren, Bryan Berkshire and Donald (Kaylee) Berkshire; three great grandchildren, Tinlee, Tessa and Beau Berkshire; seven nieces and their families.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Mary Baumann; brothers, Donald and Conrad Baumann; sisters, Mary Alice Cree and Charlotte Sailors; sons, James and Donald; and daughter, Marna.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 13th, at Mount Hope Cemetery.

Family and friends may meet at Kroeger Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday to join the procession to the grave, departing the funeral home at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday.
