Sergio 'Pepe' Diego

Sergio ‘Pepe’ Diego, age 26, Logansport, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at 9:01 p.m., in Memorial Hospital.

Born on February 21, 1990, in Los Angeles, he was the son of Miguel Diego Bartolo and Eulalia Gaspar.  His father survives in Mesa, Ariz., and his mother lives here in Logansport.

Pepe had formerly been employed at Hartz Mountain and Kauffman Engineering.  A hard worker, he loved spending time with his family, and especially being a father to his son.

He also enjoyed playing FIFA Soccer on PlayStation, attending music concerts, and playing with his dog, Miklo.

Also surviving are son, Olivor Diego and fiancé, Kaylyn Strasser, both of Logansport; grandfather, Gaspar Baltazar-Mateo, Logansport; sister, Catalina Diego, Logansport; aunt, Anna Mateo-Hernandez and uncle Diego Gaspar, both of Seymour; special cousins, Leticia Bartolome, Rigoberto Bartolome, Catarina Morales, Juan Pascual, Gaspar Pascual, Aurora Pascual, and numerous other cousins.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., with Father Dominic Petan officiating.

Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2017, at the home of Pepe’s mother, Eulalia Gaspar, at 205 West Miami Avenue, as well as, in the All Saints Parish Hall, on Saturday, from 12:00 noon, until the time of the Mass at 2:00 p.m.

Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery will follow the Mass.
