Shane J. Upton

Shane J. Upton, 27, Logansport, passed away at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, in his residence.

Born February 12, 1990, in Logansport, he was the son of James J. and Diane Claxton Upton. His parents survive, residing in Logansport.

Shane was a 2009 graduate of Logansport High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Notre Dame sports, especially football, and riding his motorcycle. He also enjoyed his beloved dogs, Opie, Charlie and Chloe.

Also surviving, in addition to his parents, are his fiancé, Katelyn “Katie” Bohac, Logansport; an expected infant son, Jackson Andrew, due in January, 2018; brother, Patrick (Debbie) Upton, Fort Wayne; sister, Katie (Jason) Thacker, Martinsville; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Claxton; paternal grandparents, Katherine and Roger Jenkins; nieces and nephews, Jayden Thacker, Sadie Thacker, Layla Thacker, Gavin Thacker, Jared Bridge and Austin Bridge; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceding in death were brother, Andrew Upton; maternal grandfather, Avery Claxton and paternal grandfather, Gain Upton.

Visitation will be from 12 Noon to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2017, at Kroeger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, also at the funeral home, with Fr. Dominic Petan officiating.

Full interment will be private for the family only in Walton I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
