Violet M. (Selvio) Jones

Violet M. Jones, age 98, Logansport, passed away at 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, in Miller’s Merry Manor.

Born in Logansport on August 4, 1918, she was the daughter of Vito and Josephine Pallenino Selvio.

On March 15, 1947, she was married to Alva J. Jones, who preceded her in death on September 16, 1996.

Violet was retired from White-Rogers/RBM Manufacturing.

She enjoyed gardening, especially roses, and crocheting and was proud of her home. She especially enjoyed visiting with her grandsons and great nieces.

Surviving are a daughter, Deborah (Stu) Youngstrom, Rochester; grandsons, Tyler Kim Youngstrom and Logan Scott Youngstrom; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were five brothers, Ike Selvio, Tony Selvio, Mike Selvio, John Selvio, and Joe Selvio; and a sister, Mary Terrell.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2017, at Kroeger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, also at the funeral home, with Fr. Dominic Petan officiating.

Entombment will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
