Virginia Rosemary Hedrick, age 88, Logansport, passed away at 9:20 a.m. on Friday, September 29, 2017, in Miller’s Merry Manor.

Born July 29, 1929, in Stockwell, she was the daughter of Homer Ray and Mabel Irene Howe Stingley.

She was married to Roy Lee (Jack) Hedrick on December 19, 1968. He passed away August 1, 2012.

Virginia moved from Walton to Royal Center in 1981.

 She retired from Warner’s Greenhouse. She enjoyed camping, reading, traveling and was an ardent IU sports fan, especially basketball.

Surviving are children, Michael (Yvette) Sims, Logansport, Steve (Bebe) Sims, Hebron, Jeff (Rina) Sims, Peru, Dave Sims, Peru, Kathy (Bill) Strahlem, Logansport, Bob Hedrick (Paula) Maybrey, Peru.

Also surviving are step-children, Steve (Pam) Hedrick, Walton, Terry Hedrick, Kokomo, Becky Hulet, Greentown, Jackie Hedrick, Rochester, Jim Hedrick, Rochester and John (Iva) Hedrick, Rochester.

Sixteen grandchildren, Erika (Adam) Reeser, David (Kristen) Sims, Rebecca Sims, Eric (AnnMarie) Sims, Sara (Mike) Kowlaski, Nikki (John) Martin, Shanna (Chad) Reppert, Jaclyn ( Brandon) Warren, Justin (Amy) Sims, Billy Strahlem (Tiffany Wootten), Travis Hedrick, Chelsea Mabrey, Hunter Hedrick, David Harper, Alex Blizzard and Danielle Blizzard; twenty great grandchildren, several step-grandchildren and several step-great grandchildren, two nephews and one niece also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis (Bud) McDole and a daughter, Donna Blizzard.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, at Kroeger Funeral Home.

The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, also at the funeral home with Pastor Paula Neibert officiating.

Interment will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
