Curt and Peggy: I was saddened to hear of your loss. What a long, full life Jesse lived! I have a special place in my heart for World War 2 vets. Thoughts and prayers.

Was very sorry to hear this news. Jesse was a man of many stories, my husband and I loved them and he made us laugh so hard at times. My condolences to Curtis and Stan. Jesse is up there with his beloved Shirley. We talked, he missed her so. I will miss our driveway conversations😥 He would pull up and honk in the summertime and I would pull up a chair and we would talk for hours. GOD Bless this hard working man. ❤️

Family of Jess.
Jess was one of the few Benson's that the Joy and Minnie Benson family maintained contact with. He and my father, Joy Benson were good friends in their youth but unfortunately Joy died of polio in 1941. Jess went away to war. Jess was a great source of stories, particularly about his truck driving days. We saw him in Grand Rapids.MI last Nov. when he attended my brother John's memorial service. Still in great spirits he was looking forward to his going south for the winter. He had an interesting life and will be missed. Take comfort in all th ememories you have of his life.
