Douglas M. Rohde, age 36, Logansport, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, in the residence of his parents following a recent surgery.
Born November 8, 1983, in Logansport, he was the son of Douglas and Barbara Leazenby Rohde. His parents survive residing in Peru (Eagle’s Pointe).
A 2002 graduate of Logansport High School, Douglas had recently been employed at Tyson Foods. He was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed bowling. He was also a fan of the Arizona Diamond Backs, Jacksonville Jaguars and University of Notre Dame sports.
He was a lifelong blood donor and was recognized for donating 8-1/2 gallons of blood until illness prevented him from making further donations.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by an infant son, Robert Rohde; step-daughter, Abigail Logsdon; brother, Kenneth (Michelle) Rohde; two nieces and one nephew, Rachel Stone, Rebecca Stone-Raisor and Patrick Stone; aunts and uncles, Randy and Dorinda Rohde, Connie and William Somers, Diana and Chris Hizer, Deb and Cliff Allen and Becky Leazenby; a number of cousins.
Preceding in death were a brother, Jeremy Rohde, maternal grandparents, Everett and Helen Leazenby; paternal grandparents, Bruce and Jeanette Rohde.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2019, at Kroeger Funeral Home.
The funeral service and Celebration of Douglas’ Life will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26th, also at the funeral home, with Rev. Aaron Gross officiating.
Interment will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
