Marilyn A. Guckien, age 81, Camden, passed away at 7:38 a.m. on Friday, August 24, 2018, in Miller’s Merry Manor.
Born April 3, 1937, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of Louis and Irene Cree Penn.
On April 7, 1956, at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Logansport, she was married to John Guckien, who survives.
Marilyn was a 1955 graduate of Camden High School. She was a past member of the Double Dozen Home Ec Club.
She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.
Especially she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are sons, Thomas (Debra) Guckien, Camden, and Mark (Dawn) Guckien, Walton; grandchildren, Scott (Amy) Guckien, Camden, Evan Guckien, Rochester, and Austin Guckien, Walton; great grandson, Matthew Guckien, Camden.
Also surviving are her siblings, Phyllis Myers, Logansport, Rosaline Penn, Flora and Janice Collins, Camden; sisters-in-law, Norma Penn, Logansport, Linda Penn, Camden, Jane Penn, Camden; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Dale Penn, Larry Penn, Gary Penn and a great grandson, Linn Guckien.
Visitation will be Monday, August 27, 2018, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Kroeger Funeral Home.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 28th, at All Saints Catholic Church, with Fr. Jeff Martin officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the Mass either at the funeral home or the church.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
