Shirley A. (Schache) Kistler

Shirley A. Kistler, age 74, of Logansport, passed away at 7:20 a.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Indianapolis.

Born in Peru on April 16, 1944, she was the daughter of Billie D. Schache, Sr., and Mary Jane Demuth Schache.

She is survived by her loving husband, George C. Kistler.  They celebrated their fifty-first anniversary February 3, 2019.

She is also survived by her sons, Aaron (Stephanie) Kistler, Houston, Texas,Matthew (Martika) Kistler, Attica; her grandchildren,  Andrew (Laura) Kistler, Aubrey Kistler, Abigail Kistler, and Analia Kistler; as well as a brother, Don (Linda) Schache and a nephew, Joshua (Erica) Schache.

A brother, Billie D. Schache, Jr., and both parents preceded her in death.

A devoted homemaker, Shirley was a member of Main Street UnitedMethodist Church.  She enjoyed solving jigsaw puzzles and playing “Words With Friends.”  She loved to travel, and was a faithful friend to many as well as a devout Christian.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Kroeger Funeral Home, with the funeral immediately following at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. Colleen Harden officiating.

Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.
