John Morris Carson

John Morris Carson, age 89, Logansport, passed away at 8:10 p.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2021, in St. Vincent Kokomo Hospital.

Born January 9, 1932, in Twelve Mile, he was the son of John William and Sarah Cook Carson.

On August 3, 1958 he was married to Fern Ruth Lunsford, who preceded him in death on June 27, 2013.

A retired, long-time farmer, John was a United States Army veteran serving from 1954 to 1956.

For thirty-nine and one half years he was the Township Trustee for Clay Township. He was a member of Miami Baptist Church.

Surviving are sons, John W. Carson, James H. (Dorraine) Carson, Robert J. Carson (fiance, Angel Moretz); sister, Ellen Storvick; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding in death were a son, granddaughter and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at Kroeger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 1, also at Kroeger Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Daisok Ponmei, officiating.

Interment will be in Fulton Cemetery with full military honors.
