Mary Elizabeth "Bette" Roberts Obituary

Mary Elizabeth “Bette” Roberts, 92, Logansport, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020 in Community Hospital North, Indianapolis.

Born in Terre Haute on Wednesday, June 15, 1927, she was the daughter of James A. and Ollie Dunlap DeLoughery.

She was married to Harvey Roberts, who preceded her in death on June 5, 1986.

Bette attended St. Patrick’s elementary school in Terre Haute and earned an associate degree from Indiana State University.

In Logansport, Bette was a teacher at St. Vincent and Columbia elementary schools.

She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.

Surviving are son, James (Jo) Roberts, Indianapolis; brother, James A. DeLoughery, Fishers; and grandsons, Jonathon Roberts (fiancé, Mary) and Joseph Roberts.

She was preceded in death by brother, John DeLoughery and sister, Margaret Mitchell.

Funeral arrangements are private.

Interment will be in the Mount Calvary section of Mount Hope Cemetery.
