Pearl F. Speitel, age 98, Logansport, passed away at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2020, in Logansport.
Born October 29, 1921, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Ollie and Carrie Smith Steinman.
She was married to Donald Speitel, who preceded her in death in 1969.
Pearl had been employed at RBM Manufacturing, JCPenney, Olsen’s, Golden Rule, Gossard, Logansport High School and Wal-Mart. She worked until she was 85 years old.
Pearl was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church and attended Calvary Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of Logansport VFW Auxiliary and the Republican Women’s Club.
Surviving are a son, Donald C. Speitel, Logansport; daughters, Betty Foley, Gaithersburg, Maryland, Kay L. (Ron) Rottet, Logansport, Sandi Speitel, Rockville, Maryland; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marge Speitel; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Lance Speitel; brothers, Harry Steinman, Bud Steinman, Jack Steinman, Jim Steinman; sisters, Edna Marlatt Sherman and Betty Jorden.
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, at Kroeger Funeral Home, with the funeral service immediately following at 11:30 a.m. The Rev. Chuck Compton with officiate.
Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
