Sue "Susie" (Kumler) Selvio

Sue "Susie" Selvio, age 83, Logansport, passed away at 4:34 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born Tuesday, August 29, 1939, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Max R. and Betty L. Heppe Kumler.

On October 5, 1957 she married James E. Selvio, who preceded her in death on May 23, 2002.

Sue retired in 2004 after twenty seven years of employment with Security Federal Savings Bank.

A 1957 graduate of Logansport High School, Sue was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.

She loved dogs and all animals. Most important to her was her family, her children and all the grandchildren. 

Surviving are daughters, Kelly Tierney and Joni (Tim) Lambert; brother, Bill (Rose Ann) Kumler, all of Logansport.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Ross Tierney, Matt Tierney, Eric (Charla) Lambert; great grandchildren, Gianna Elise Lambert, Wren Lambert, Zack (Hadley) Highbaugh; sister-in-law, Josephine “Toots” Flory; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Jim, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Chad Lambert; son-in-law, Pat Tierney; sister-in-law, Dolores “Dee” Kumler; and her parents,  Max and Betty Kumler, and her husband’s parents, Albert “Ike” and Angeline “Angie” Selvio.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 27th, and one hour prior to the funeral mass on Tuesday, both at Kroeger Funeral Home.

A Scriptural Wake Service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, prior to visitation, also at the funeral home.  

The Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at All Saints Catholic Church, with Father Kyle Neterer officiating.

Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Chad Lambert Youth Athletic Fund or the Garth Allen Thomas Pioneer Youth Sports Fund, both at Logansport Savings Bank, 723 East Broadway, or PetsRUs (Cass County Humane Society), 700 Water Street.
