Barbara J. Schirm Conrad

Barbara J. Schirm Conrad, 94, Logansport, passed away at 3:55 a.m., on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, in Chase Center.

Born in Logansport, on August 16, 1924, she was the daughter of Henry W. and Vivian P. Whitted Grady.

In May 1942, she was married to Robert L. Schirm, who preceded her in death on December 19, 1976.  She later married Dale T. Conrad on September 13, 1989.  He preceded her in death in September 2009.

Barbara had been employed at Baker Specialty when she graduated from high school in 1942.  She had also been a legal secretary for Glenn Miller and was employed with Buck-Hilkert, retiring in the early 1990s.

She was a member and very faithfully attended Spring Creek Christian Church.

Being a social butterfly, she enjoyed going to church, flower gardening, especially roses, also, sewing, and knitting.

Above all, she loved people and being with her family.

Surviving are children, Jon R. (Cindy) Schirm Sr., Lori Medina, of Logansport, and Jeffrey Schirm, Franklin, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jon (Veronica) Schirm Jr., Jacob Schirm (Natasha Brannick), Brandy Weaver (Buck Myers), Kellie Weaver, Sarah (Joel) Maloy, Sean (Liza) Medina, and Renee Medina.

Great grandchildren are Alaina Schirm, Aidan Schirm, Asher Schirm, Kaiden Schirm, Hazel Grace Schirm, Joshua Middleton, Paisli Winn, Madison Temple and Jackson Temple.

Also preceding Barbara in death were grandson, Joshua Adam Schirm, and sister, Mary Margaret Grady.

The visitation will be on Thursday, October 4, 2018, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., at Kroeger Funeral Home.

The service will be at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, October 5, 2018, at Kroeger Funeral Home, with Pastor Kyle Gennicks officiating.

Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
