Brian Tracy Stuart, age 76, Logansport, passed away at 11:59 a.m., on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at Memorial Hospital.
Born May 4, 1942, in Plymouth, Tracy was the son of Donald H. and Zelda Mae Saunders Stuart.
On September 4, 1965, he was marred to Saundra S. McMahan, who survives.
A 1961 graduate of Logansport High School, Tracy attended IU-K and the Indiana School of Real Estate. He had been employed in many places over the years: Hills Grocery Store, Wolf & Dessauer (Fort Wayne), General Tire, Farm Bureau Credit Union, Wilson Meat Packing, Commonwealth Insurance, White Rodgers, Donato & Sons.
Tracy owned Stuart Realty. He assisted in establishing Bar W Credit Union.
He enjoyed reading, especially the Bible and Christian books, listening to Gospel music, assisting at Emmaus Mission Center with the men’s group at FUMC and participating in children’s and grandchildren’s activities.
Tracy belonged to First United Methodist Church, where he was head usher for over 25 years at the 8:00 a.m. service. He also belonged to the Indiana State Board of Realtors and NAMI, where he was first president of the Executive Board.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Theresa Stuart Baker (Louis, Sr.), Logansport; son, Brian Tracy Stuart II, Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Louis Jessie Baker, Jr. (Angel), Hobart; Hailey Ann Baker, Bindi Sue Baker, both of Logansport and Kabrina Baker, Knox; great-granddaughter, Breeanna Johnston Letts, Hobart; many cousins and friends.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Beth Ann Cook officiating.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Kroeger Funeral Home and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at First United Methodist Church.
Interment will be in Davis Cemetery.
