Fr. Timothy D. Kroeger

Fr. Timothy D. Kroeger, age 63, of Logansport, currently assigned to St. Joseph’s Church, Lebanon, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly at 9:24 p.m. on the Second Sunday of Advent, December 9, 2018, in Lebanon.

Born in Logansport on August 7, 1955, he was the son of Paul Patrick “Pat” and Wynona Mayhew Kroeger.

Fr. Tim was ordained to the priesthood in Peoria, Illinois, on September 29, 1990, as a member of the St. Bonaventure Province of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual. He later was incardinated into the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana.

In the Lafayette Diocese, he was assigned to St. Thomas Aquinas Church, West Lafayette, St. Joan of Arc Church, Kokomo, St. Louis de Montfort Church, Fishers and St. Joseph’s Church, Lebanon.

Surviving are a brother, Paul P. Kroeger, Logansport; nephews, Christopher Allen Gaumer (Tom Powell), Fort Wayne, Matthew Kroeger Gaumer (wife, Julie; step-sons, Caleb Benjamin Miller and Jeremiah Vincent Miller); two nieces, Allison Leigh Gaumer and Lauren Elizabeth McClure (husband, Rod), their father, Lee Gaumer (wife, Marsha); great niece, Elizabeth Grace Gaumer, all of Logansport; extended Kroeger family members residing in Florida.

His parents, a sister, Cynthia Ann Gaumer, and step-mother, Florence “Floss” Kroeger, preceded in death.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Kroeger Funeral Home in Logansport.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon on Friday, December 21, 2018, at St. Joseph’s Church, Lebanon, with visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon at the Church prior to Mass. Bishop Timothy Doherty will officiate.

Interment will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday in the St. Vincent section of Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport, with Fr. Jeff Martin officiating. The funeral procession will depart Kroeger Funeral Home at about 12:30 p.m.
