December 28, 1944 ~ May 28, 2017 (age 72) 72 Years OldFred V. Taylor, age 72, Kokomo, passed away at 4:48 a.m. on Sunday, May 28, 2017, in his residence.
Born December 28, 1944, in Rensselaer, he was the son of Delos Edward and Ella Nickel Taylor.
On February 9, 1968, in St. Joseph’s Church, Pulaski, he was married to Patricia Jane Scheffer, who survives.
Fred had been employed at Wilson Foods and KMH Systems.
He was a United States Army veteran of the Viet Nam era and was a member of the American Legion Post 60.
Fred loved animals, particularly dogs and cats, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons, Jeffrey (Teresa) Taylor, Logansport, Scott (Mindy) Taylor, Flora; daughter, Amy (Mike) Pullen, Galveston; brother, Richard (Marti) Taylor, Oreana, Ill; sister, Evelyn “Rusty” (Rudy) Rudisill, Clinton, Ill; grandchildren, Garrett Pullen, Michaela Pullen, Austin Taylor, Alyssa Taylor and Aydrial Taylor; nieces, Dawn, Kristi, Angi, Wendy, Kim and nephew, John, and their families.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 1st, at Kroeger Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 2nd, also at the funeral home, with Rev. David Leman officiating.
Interment with full military honors will be in Buck Cemetery, Thornhope.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
Fred always dressed in casual clothing. Therefore, the family requests that those attending the funeral or visitation wear casual clothes as well.
