Kenneth M. Alcorn Obituary

Kenneth M. Alcorn, age 58, Logansport, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2019, in Memorial Hospital of South Bend. His life journey ended from complications of small cell lung cancer.

Born December 12, 1960, in Logansport, he was the son of Fred Clayton Alcorn, Sr. and Shelby Randolph Alcorn. His father survives, residing in Logansport.

On August 23, 1980, Ken was married to Cheryl McManus, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Misty May (William “Bill”) Moyer, Elkhart; brothers, Fred (Kathy) Alcorn, Panama City, Florida, and Randy (Rhonetta) Alcorn, Logansport; grandchildren, Alexander and Cameron Moyer; mother-in-law, Betty McManus, Logansport; brother- and sister-in-law, Cass (Sabrina) McManus, Twelve Mile.

Surviving also are nieces and nephews, Natasha Alcorn, Clayton Alcorn, Randy Alcorn, Megan (Ryan) Jones, Sarah (Levi) Putnam and Brett McManus.

Preceding in death are his mother, Shelby Alcorn and father-in-law, Mike McManus.

Ken was employed at Slusser’s Green Thumb and was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 135. He was a member of Tipton Masonic Lodge #33, Logansport Shrine Club and Logansport Roosters. He attended Main Street United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 17th, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kroeger Funeral Home. The Tipton Masonic Lodge service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday followed by a Shriners’ Walk-By.

The funeral service will be at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, with visitation one hour prior to the funeral service, also at the funeral home. Pastor Colleen Harden of Main Street United Methodist Church will officiate.

Interment will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
