Leah J. Timler, 94, formerly of Logansport, passed away at 11:20 p.m., on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, in Westminster Village in West Lafayette.

Born July 8, 1923, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Howard A. and Freda A. Bauer McManama.

On May 25, 1969, Leah was married to Howard A. Timler, who preceded her in death on September 9, 1995.

Leah graduated from Logansport High School in 1941.  Leah retired as an Operator Services Supervisor for Indiana Bell and General Telephone Companies, completing 33 years of service.

As a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Logansport, Leah was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Altar Guild.  She was also a member of the Sew and So Club and Home and Hobby Extension Homemakers Club.

Surviving are daughter, Karen (James) Mullen, West Lafayette; son, David (Alicia) McElheny, Grand Rapids, Michigan; step-son, Stephen (Debbie) Timler, Ocala, Florida; two granddaughters, one step-grandson, one step-granddaughter, and multiple great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her death were sisters, Debbie Davis and Miriam McManama; brother, Howard J. McManama; and great-granddaughter, Natalie Jane Cruse.

Friends may call on Monday, November 6, 2017, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Kroeger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m., also at Kroeger Funeral Home, with Pastor Justin Herman of University Lutheran Church in West Lafayette officiating.

Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Special appreciation is given to the excellent care Leah received at Westminster Village and for the support and compassion of the staff.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Organ Fund at St. James Lutheran Church, 430 Ninth Street, Logansport. IN 46947.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
