Michael Lee Franklin Obituary

Michael Lee Franklin, age 48, Logansport, passed away unexpectedly at 9:50 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2019, at Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born January 20, 1971, in Logansport, he was the son of Bonnie Short, who survives, residing in Logansport. His stepfather, Mike Schaeffer, preceded him in death. Also preceding in death were a son, Zachery Michael Franklin, and infant grandson, Cameron Franklin.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a son, Dillan Matthew Franklin, Logansport; daughter, Raven Shirar, Logansport; brother, Travis Short, Delphi; sisters, Kimberly (Aaron) Jackson, Kokomo and Allison Shirar, Lafayette; numerous nieces and nephews.

Michael had been employed as a supervisor at Dilling Mechanical. He enjoyed fishing, camping and watching football.

He had served in the United States Marine Corps.

Friends may pay their respects to Michael and his family from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at Kroeger Funeral Home.
