Born July 9, 1920 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to the late Joseph and Adele Bourdon peacefully passed away on Friday, June 12 2026.
She married Herman G. Loner, May 18, 1946, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He passed away on May 31, 2010.
During World War II, as a volunteer hostess at the K of C Club in Winnipeg she met the love of her life Herman Loner on March 19, 1942.
She was a loving, faithful and dedicated wife, mother and homemaker who thoroughly enjoyed caring for family and friends. When someone needed or asked for help, she was always first to step up. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, playing cards, playing board games, sewing, knitting and embroidering. She also was a longtime volunteer at St. Vincent Thrift Shop and delivering Meals on Wheels.
She and Herman traveled extensively to many international countries such as Canada, Italy, Germany, Austria, France, Mexico, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, and many of the US 50 states including Alaska and Hawaii.
She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, Altar Decorations, President and member of Altar Rosary Society, St. Joseph Home and School, Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority, Infant Jesus of Prague Study Club, Who’s New Club and Extension Homemakers Club.
Her children are Wayne Loner of Cleveland, OH, the late Stephen Loner of Merrit Island, FL, Douglas Loner and wife Linda of Rockford, IL, Bernard Loner and wife Sylvia of Logansport and Lawrence Loner and wife Christy of Jasper, IN. She also has 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral Arrangements will be Friday, June 19. Visitation from 9:00-11:00 AM in the All Saints Parish Hall, Celebration of Life Mass at 11:00 AM and Burial, beside her beloved husband Herman, at Mt. Hope Cemetery immediately following Mass.
It is requested that gifts and flowers be omitted and all charitable donations be made to either All Saints Catholic Parish or St. Meinrad Archabbey, St. Meinrad, IN 47577.
