Bonita K. (Wakeman) Thompson

Bonita K. Thompson, age 82, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her 3 children, on Thursday October 3, 2024, at Franciscan Health Lafayette East, in Lafayette, Indiana. 

Bonita was born in Logansport, Indiana, on October 11, 1941, to the late Karl and Arlene (Caldwell) Wakeman.  She graduated in 1959 from Logansport High School.

Bonita was known by her many friends and family as Bonnie.  Bonnie loved all animals, and all animals loved her the same.  Bonnie's favorite things to do included reading, cooking, spending time with her dogs, riding horses, and shopping.

Bonnie is survived by her 3 beautiful children, Darrin Thompson of Logansport, IN, Dorene (Scott) Snowberger of Royal Center, IN and Darlene (Richard, Jr) Agee of Buffalo, IN.  Also survived by grandsons, Kevin Wilmot, Jr of Royal Center, IN, Austin Agee of Buffalo, IN and Dalton Agee of Monticello, IN.  2 great grandchildren,  Shayla Wilmot of Bradenton, FL and Waylon Agee of Monticello, IN.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Arlene Wakeman and a grandson, Thomas Wilmot.

Bonnie will be sorely missed.  Upon her wishes, please donate to any animal rescue or shelter in her honor, if you would like.

There will be no services. There will be a small celebration of life at a later date.
