Bonnie Lou Hess, 79, of Logansport, passed away at 1:03 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Miller’s Merry Manor, with her family by her side.
Born February 6, 1946, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to Leacle Webber, Bonnie lived a life filled with love, warmth, and simple joys. She was known for making the best chicken and dumplings and cornbread—meals that brought her family together. She loved to embroider and enjoyed watching Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and Mountain Men, especially when she could share those moments with her daughter.
Bonnie had a deep love for flowers and birds. She had a true green thumb—anything she planted seemed to flourish. Her bright smile and gentle spirit will be missed by many.
She is survived by her children:
• Debbie (Donny) Wilson, Logansport
• Steve (Linda) Russell, Rossville
• Sherri (Don) Storey, Logansport
• Alisa (Curtis) Appleton, Burrows
• Paul Hess (Shelby Brumett), Logansport
• Doug (Brittney) Hess, South Bend
Bonnie is also survived by a sister, Thelma Hamilton, Mascot, Tenn.
She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great‑grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul Hess; her mother, Leacle Webber of Knoxville, TN; her brother, Danny McCoy of Knoxville, TN; and her brother‑in‑law, Keith Hamilton of Mascot, TN.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank‑you to Miller’s Merry Manor and Heart to Heart Hospice.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2026, in the chapel at Mount Hope Cemetery. Rev. Jeff Hale will be officiating.
Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the service at the cemetery chapel.
Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
