Cynthia D. “Cindy” Dexter, age 72, Twelve Mile, passed away at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2025, in her residence, following a lengthy and brave struggle with cancer.
Born July 14, 1953, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Russell Holloway and Leota Siddall Holloway.
She was married in 1971 to William “Bill” Dexter, her high school sweetheart, who survives. They had been married almost 53 years.
A 1971 graduate of Logansport High School, Cindy enjoying sewing, cooking and baking, especially cakes. She collected angels and especially enjoyed decorating the Christmas trees and assembling the Christmas village. Her children and grandchildren were the focus of her life.
Surviving are their children, Travis (Amanda) Dexter, Culver, Jennifer (Justin) Crichfield, Idaville, Brad Dexter, Dexter, MI, Nathan (Vannah) Dexter, Carmel; sisters, Trudy Gibbs, Pam Maxwell, both of Logansport, Melissa (Mick) Miller, and Lisa Hershberger, all of Kokomo.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Justine, Grant, Hunter, Heidi, Cohen and Aidan; a number of nieces, nephews and extended family.
A daughter-in-law, Pilar Dexter, and a sister, Chiquita “Chick” Zimmerman, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 27th, at Kroeger-Crain Funeral Home.
The funeral is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Sunday, following visitation, also at the funeral home. Rev. Jim Zimmerman will officiate.
Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
