Dale E. Miller

Dale E. Miller, 97, Logansport, passed away at 4:50 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2023, at Chase Center.

Born April 15, 1926, in Logansport, he was the son of Ross E. and Ethel E. Horstman Miller.

On November 20, 1948, in Wabash, he married Carolyn “Sue” Sholty, who preceded him in death April 3, 2005.

Dale owned and operated the former Rendezvous Restaurant and Bar in downtown Logansport.

A graduate of Washington Township High School, he enjoyed golfing (“of course”), and was a fan of Indiana University sports, especially basketball, and the Chicago Cubs. Gin & Tonics were always the drink of choice.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 14th, at Kroeger Funeral Home, with a Celebration of Dale’s Life at 1:00 p.m. Jim Crain of Kroeger-Crain Funeral & Cremation will preside at the Celebration of Life, with family and friends sharing personal stories and remembrances.

Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Surviving is one daughter, Karla (Jerry) Thomas, Alpharetta, Georgia; grandchildren, Kyle Thomas, Meghan Miller, Angela Miller, Austin Miller; great grandson, Tristan Thomas; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Miller; daughters, Patricia Miller and Cynthia Miller; grandson, Scott Thomas; and several siblings.
