Dawson James Bird

Dawson James Bird, age 18, of Logansport, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2022.

Born February 2, 2004, in Logansport, he was the son of Jason A. and Linda Gaddis Bird.

His father, Jason Bird (fiance, Tara Fultz), and his mother, Linda (Aaron) Humerickhouse, both survive, residing in Logansport.

Dawson was a 2022 graduate of Pioneer High School.

He loved being outside, fishing, bow hunting, trapping animals and cutting wood.

He had been employed at the Royal Center Locker Plant.

Dawson really enjoyed hanging out with his siblings He enjoyed making and building anything from whatever scraps of wood he could find.

In addition to his parents, Dawson is survived by sisters, Kyla Bird and Mya Humerickhouse; bonus dad, Aaron Humerickhouse; maternal grandmother, Susan Gaddis; paternal grandfather, James Bird, bonus paternal grandmother, Phyllis Bird and paternal grandmother, Linda Wilson.

Also surviving are aunts and uncles, Paul and Juanita Hurd, Wendi Chapman (Brooke Stephenson), Missy Field, Allen Humerickhouse, Marilyn Jones, Vicki and Dan Wood, Vicki and Greg Wood, Eric and Stephanie Bird; bonus brother, Bransyn Fultz; many cousins.

Dawson was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ronald L. Gaddis; uncle, Donald E. Gaddis; bonus grandparents, Arnold and Marge Humerickhouse.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Kroeger Funeral Home.

The funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, also at the funeral home, with Rev. Doug Thomas officiating.

Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.
