Della (Brenner) Jackson

Della (Brenner) Jackson, age 73, Huntington, formerly of Logansport, passed away at 6:32 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2023, in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Born June 18, 1949, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Andrew “Bud” and Marjorie Phillips Brenner.

On January 28, 1967, she married Richard Jackson, who survives.

Della graduated in 1964 from St. Joseph’s elementary school in Logansport. She then attended Logansport High School.

Most recently she had been employed in the cafeteria at Huntington North High School.

Her family and “grandbabies” meant the world to her.

She enjoyed playing Bingo, shopping and going to garage sales. She made the best fried chicken ever, hands down.  

Surviving are sons, Rex Jackson, Huntington, Andrew (Tina) Jackson, Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Cathy Mooy, Huntington; brother, Jim Brenner, Michigan; sister, Diane Raderstorf, Logansport.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Trevor Lynch (Kasi), Jasmine Custer (Damien), Dustin Jackson (Ashley Cooper), Randy Jackson (Tia), Jeffery Jackson, Austin Jackson (Ashley), Brady Jackson; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Three brothers, Joe Brenner, Bobby Brenner and infant Donnie Wayne Brenner preceded her in death.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Kroeger Funeral Home with Fr. Gustavo Lopez officiating.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, prior to the funeral, also at Kroeger Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
