Donald C. Speitel

Donald C. Speitel, age 78, Logansport, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025, in his residence.

Born July 5, 1946, in Logansport, he was the son of Donald and Pearl Steinman Speitel.

He was married to Katherine Louise “Kay” Radke Speitel, who preceded him in death.

Don was a United States Air Force Veteran. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3790 and the Logansport Elks Lodge and Logansport Moose Lodge.

He retired from Indiana Packers.

Surviving are a son, Nathan (Lara) Speitel, Kewanna; sisters, Kay (Ron) Rottet, Sandi Speitel, Betty (Mike) Cobb; grandchildren, Makinzie (Logan) Askew, Mallory Speitel, Malayna Speitel; great granddaughter, Mary Ellen Askew.

Also surviving are a brother-in-law, John (Rita) Radke; and a sister-in-law, Connie (Don) Kistler; several nieces and nephews.

A son, Lance Clay Speitel, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 6th, at Kroeger-Crain Funeral Home, where military honors will be accorded. The Logansport Elks Lodge will conduct a memorial service during visitation.

Contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
