Donna Wetherell Obituary

Donna H. Wetherell, age 84, Logansport, passed away in her residence on Tuesday, October 26, 2021.

Born in Dexter, Maine on June 25, 1937, she was the daughter of James C. and Emma (Weaver) Hafford.

On December 31, 1954, she was married to Clifford A. Bragdon, Sr., father of her children, who was still a good friend and a part of her family life. Later, on May 15, 1976, Donna was married to Lucius Wetherell, who preceded her in death in 1990, in Massachusetts.

At the age of 73, Donna retired in April, 2010, after 19 years of employment of Kauffman Engineering.  She loved to go camping and enjoyed humming birds, flowers and nature’s creations.  Above all else, she loved her family.

She was never afraid to voice her opinion and was smart-witted—she always had a comeback.  She was loved by everyone with whom she came in contact.

Surviving Donna are sons, Clifford A. Bragdon, Jr. and Norman A. Bragdon, both of Kewanna; daughters, Gladys G. Bragdon, Logansport, Jean A. (Walter) Gryzbowski, Kewanna and Brenda L. (Michael A.) Rice, Star City; brothers, Willy (Mary) Hafford, Massachusetts, Glenwood (Doshia) Hafford, Virignia, Nelson Hafford, Maine, Clyde (Susan) Hafford, Maine, and Dan Hafford, who passed away 6 hours after Donna passed; sisters, Annette Manzi, Sally Hafford, and Nancy Enos, all of Massachusetts. Also surviving are Lucius' children, Barbara, Andrew 'Buck', Larry, Susie, Cindy, James and Brenda; and many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Donna was also preceded by son, Ralph J. Bragdon in 1977, brothers, Guy Hafford and Jimmy Hafford; and sister, Betty Bragdon.

A Celebration of Donna’s life is planned for Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Kewanna Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1121.

Burial of Donna’s ashes is planned at a later date in Forestvale Cemetery in Hudson, Massachusetts.

Memorial contributions may be made to any favorite charity.
