At 7:30 this evening, Monday, August 10, 2020, Doris Marlene Harrison, Berkshire, Wratten, Hall, of Logansport, went peacefully to sleep in the arms of the Lord, at St Elizabeth Health Care Campus, Delphi.
She was attended to by people who not only cared for her, but cared about her. May we all be as lucky. Mom, please set a place for us at the table.
Born September 2, 1932, in Logansport, Doris was the daughter of Caylus A. and Nettie M. Labounty Harrison.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, and a member of Shiloh Christian Church.
Most recently she been employed at General Tire, retiring in 1979. Over the years she had also been employed at Mr. Happy Burger, Harvey’s Restaurant, Maiben’s Laundry, RBM Manufacturing and the Cass County Children’s Home.
Doris enjoyed garage sales, playing BINGO and especially her dogs.
Surviving are a son, Michael Keith Berkshire, Logansport; daughter, Marla Kay Berkshire, Peru; and brother, William A. (Anne) Harrison, Logansport.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Jerry L. Harrison, Jack H. Harrison and Caylus Harrison; and sister, Maxine Acuff.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 16, 2020, at Kroeger Funeral Home, with the funeral service following visitation at 3:00 p.m. Sunday. Pastor Mark Marshall will officiate. The VFW Auxiliary will conduct a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, just prior to the funeral.
Interment will be in Clymers Cemetery, Cass County.
