Frances M. (Parmeter) Bixler

Frances M. Osborn Bixler, age 81, Logansport, went to be with the Lord at 11:07 a.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born November 7, 1940, in Logansport, she was the daughter of George and Virginia Coble Parmeter.

Frances was married to Darolyn Osborn, who preceded her in death in 1987. She was then married in 1990 to Louis “Lou” Bixler, who survives.

Frances had been employed at RBM Manufacturing for 32 years. On November 1, 2005, she retired from Kauffman Engineering.

She and her husband attended Logansport Church of the Brethren. Frances enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Frances is survived by sons, Terry (Kristie) Osborn, Mike (Veronica) Osborn all of Logansport; daughters, Kimberly (Charlie) Fields, Galveston, Sandra (Rob) Pearson, Logansport; brother, Jim (Shirley) Parmeter, Logansport; step-sons, Pat (Shelly) Bixler, Peru, Jeff Bixler, Logansport; step-daughter, Shelly (Scotty) Stotler, Tucson, AZ.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Ryan and Megan Osborn, Carmel, Jordyn Osborn, Logansport, Darren and Taylor Osborn, Logansport, Kain and Jordan Osborn, Denver, IN, Katelyn Osborn, Logansport, Natalia Osborn, Logansport, Meranda Osborn, Logansport, Rochelle Rott, Westfield, Stephen Osborn, Lafayette, Jake and Saree Babb, Noblesville, Lindsey Pearson, Logansport, Mellenie Pearson, Logansport; fourteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Frances was a loving wife, mother and “Nanny” to her family and a loving person to everyone she met.

Frances was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Freeman, brother, Robert Parmeter; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Sidney and Sandy Bixler.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, and one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday, both at Kroeger Funeral Home.

The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Kroeger Funeral Home, with Rev. Aaron Gross and Rev. Mike Osborn officiating.

Interment will be in Shideler Cemetery, Cass County.
