George R. Naftzger Obituary

George R. Naftzger, age 87, Logansport, passed away peacefully in his residence at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2026.

Born in Logansport July 21, 1938, he was the son of George Adolph Naftzger and Helen Inez Thompson Naftzger.

He was married to Joyce “Lee” Landis Naftzger, who survives.

Surviving are his children, Tim (Karen) Boose, Camas, Washington, Leslie Naftzger (long-time companion, Andy Johnson), Logansport, Alexandra Naftzger-Books (Mark), Washington, Missouri; sisters, Nancy Fischer-Roberts (Ed), Noblesville, Julie Van Sikle, Zionsville.

Also surviving are a grandson, Emerson Books; granddaughter, Emily (Tye) Lommason; great grandson, Wesley Lommason.

A Celebration of George’s Life is planned for Spring, 2026.
