Gloria Diane (Drake) Waddups

Gloria Diane Waddups, age 75, Logansport, passed away at 9:33 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2020, in Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne.

Born Tuesday, January 16, 1945, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Newlin C. and Imogene McElheny Drake.

Diane had been employed at Martin’s Supermarket.

A 1963 graduate of Logansport High School, she earned an associate’s degree from ITT in 1995.

She enjoyed flowers, sewing, watching the Chicago Cubs, and playing BINGO. She loved her dog, Sugar, and cat, Spice.

Especially she enjoyed and adored her grandchildren.

Surviving are daughters, Vickie Waddups and Julie McCloskey; sister, Anita (Fred) Dillman, all of Logansport; grandchildren, Brooke (Brad) Murphy, Fort Wayne, Christopher McCloskey and Kayla (Jacob) Snow, all of Logansport; a great-grandbaby on the way; a number of nieces and nephews.

Two brothers, Donald Drake and Robert Drake, preceded her in death. Also preceded in death by her best friend and former husband, Dick Waddups.

A Memorial Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2020, at Kroeger Funeral Home, with the funeral service to follow visitation at 6:00 p.m., with Rev. Nick Robinson officiating.
