Helen Bernice Schaffner, age 82, Logansport, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2020, in her residence.
Born February 14, 1938, in Delta, Ohio, she was the daughter of Edward Wayne and Ethel Mae Myers Davis.
On November 27, 1957, in Metamora, Ohio, she was married to Ramon E. Schaffner who preceded her in death June 13, 2000.
Bernice had been a seamstress for many years in Logansport. A graduate of Metamora (Ohio) High School, she enjoyed watching Purdue sports and the Indianapolis Colts. In earlier years, she was a member of Smiles Unlimited Clown Ministry. She enjoyed baking Christmas cookies and making Christmas stockings. A favorite activity was talking on the phone with her friends.
She was a member of Cross-Wind United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Jacquie Bean, residing in Myanmar; son, Steve (Anita) Schaffner, Tennessee; sisters, June Seigneur and Dorothy Moweny, both of Ohio; grandchildren, Stephanie Schaffner and her spouse, Jessica, Andy Schaffner and Lindsay Stillman; and daughter-in-law, Karen Schaffner
Preceding Bernice in death were her parents, husband, Ramon and son, Bret Schaffner.
Funeral arrangements are private for the family only.
