Jeffrey W. Asselin

Jeffrey W. Asselin, age 58, Logansport, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born June 15, 1963, in Greenfield, Massachusetts, he was the son of Fred Amos and Ellen Alice Bradley Asselin. His father preceded him in death. His mother surviving, residing in Stuart, Florida.

He was married to Mendy Asselin, who survives.

Jeff was the mechanic at Steinberger Construction Company.

He served on the Cass County Fire Board and the Logansport City Board.  He was a member of the Kokomo HOG (Harley Owner’s Group) Chapter 1252.

Jeff was also on the board of the Bunker Hill Freewill Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Wayne (Amber) Asselin, Logansport and Trey Peach (fiancé, Chelsea Rose), Miami County; daughters, Miranda (Kevin) Ramer and Chelsea Peach, all of Bunker Hill; brother, Donald (Brenda) Asselin, Monroe, NC.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Jerran, Dylan, Aiden, Alex, Jaxon, and Kirlani Jo Asselin, Gaige, BrookeLynn, RyLee, and EmmaLeigh Peach, Steven, Noah, Izzabella, Catherine, and Savannah Ramer, and Isaiah Goff; niece and nephew, Joshua (Rebekah) Asselin and Kalee (Parrish) Stikeleather; father- and mother-in-law, Terry and Patricia Lawson; mother- and father-in-law, , Patricia and Randy Greentree; Jeff’s former mother-in-law, Joan Strasser.

A grandson, Elijah Seth Goff, preceded him in death.

The funeral service is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 29th, at Kroeger Funeral Home, with Pastor Bill Sheets officiating.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, prior to the funeral, also at the funeral home. Members of the Cass County Fire Department will provide an honor guard with ritual folding and presentation of the flag to Jeff’s wife, Mendy.

The Kokomo HOG Chapter 1252, family and friends will make a final procession past the fire department following the service.

Interment will be held at a later date in Mount Hope Cemetery.
