Obituary
John R. Kilgore, Jr., age 57, Logansport, passed away at 7:06 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2023, at Memorial Hospital.
Born June 30, 1965, in Lawrence, Kansas, he was the son of John R. and Sylvia “Jean” Fryman Kilgore.
John had been an exceptional automobile mechanic and was the proud owner of a 1973 Red Nova, his pride and joy. This car will lead the funeral procession as it makes a “loop” around town from Kroeger Funeral Home on Market Street, to 24th Street and then down Broadway enroute to Mount Hope Cemetery.
In recent years he enjoyed displaying his Nova in local car shows.
John was a 1983 graduate of Logansport High School. He played darts and was on local dart leagues.
Surviving are his sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Mark Josephson, Logansport; nieces and nephews, Lee Schoenradt (Michael Meachum) and Courtney (Mitch) Jensen, all of Logansport; two nieces and one nephew, Marissa Schoenradt, Dietmar Jensen, Valery Jensen; favorite cousin, Rob Kilgore, Logansport.
Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
The visitation and Celebration of John’s Life will be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2023, at Kroeger Funeral Home. Following Visitation there will be a brief period where family and friends will recall stories and memories of John’s life.
Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
