Kenneth H. Gifford

Kenneth H. Gifford, age 84, Logansport, passed away at 7:35 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2022, at WoodBridge Health Campus.

Born December 12, 1937, in Kewanna, he was the son of Harvey and Mabel Woods Gifford.

On June 3, 1967, in Plymouth, he was married to Mary E. Richard Gifford, who survives.

Ken retired from Essroc Corporation in 1999 as the control room operator.

A 1954 graduate of Logansport High School, Ken served his country in the United States Navy, where he proudly served on the USS Forrestal.

He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, where he had been an usher for many years. He also belonged to the St. Francis of Assisi Council #561, Knights of Columbus. Ken enjoyed woodworking, fishing and shooting sports. He taught hunter's education for a number of years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Angela (Brian) English, Plainfield; sons, Ken (Erika) Gifford, Arizona, Kirk (Jamie) Gifford, Lizton, Indiana; brothers, James (Georgeann) Gifford, Kokomo, LaMar (Dee) Gifford, Logansport; six grandchildren, Bethany Gifford, Bobby (Jonathon) Stucker, Nicholas (Galina) Stucker, Hailee Gifford, Dylan Gifford and Emma Gifford; great granddaughter, Millicent Stucker; sister-in-law, Dina Gifford, Kokomo.

A brother, William Gifford, and sister, Sandra Gifford, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 1st, at Kroeger Funeral Home.

The Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at All Saints Catholic Church, with Father Gustavo Lopez officiating.

With full military honors, interment will be at Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
