Lillian “Pauline” (Green) Leffert, age 95, passed away on the morning of Friday, February 21, 2025, in Jensen Beach, FL.
Born in Logansport, IN on April 1, 1929, Pauline was the daughter of Rayburn H. Green and Bertha M. Slifer.
For a few years, Pauline lived at The Elms in Westerly, RI. She married John Richard “Dick” Leffert, who was her neighbor, on July 9, 1953. Dick preceded her in death on April 7, 2012, just short of their 59th anniversary.
Pauline graduated from Logansport High School in 1947 and worked as a bookkeeper at the Shell Bulk Plant, Smith’s Drugs, a small loan office and later at the License Branch on 6th
St,, and finally at the Cass County Clerk’s Office until retiring April 15, 1994. She loved to go fishing, whether on the banks of the Wabash River or for walleye in Canada. Pauline also enjoyed motorcycle riding with her husband, playing bridge and euchre, and visiting shut-ins.
She was active in her church, River of Life Christian Church before moving to Rhode Island and later to Florida with her son and daughter-in-law.
Pauline is survived by her son Phillip K Leffert, his wife Margaret (Port St Lucie, FL), Phillip’s sons Jason and his wife Justine and Travis, and great-grandson Jack; stepson David A Leffert, his wife Darla (Indianapolis, IN), their sons Joshua and his wife Brittany and their daughter Blake Hazel, John and his wife Mary.
In addition to her husband, Pauline was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Huff, and brother, John Green..Pauline will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and giving friend. She will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her.
Services will be scheduled at Ever-Rest Memorial Park at a later date where Pauline will be buried next to her husband.
